The approval includes the condition that outdoor music and outdoor speakers will not be permitted.

Dockside Waterfront Biergarten and Brewery, heralded by residents and even the city’s economic development commission as a destination business that will benefit the city — and especially the Devon area — was granted a special permit and others approvals Tuesday to create the first of its kind business here at 38-40, home of Village Marina, and 44-50 Bridgeport Ave., a neighboring parcel that will become a parking lot. The vote was unanimous, clearing the way for construction to begin.

June 20, 2018 - The Milford Planning and Zoning Board unanimously approved plans for a waterfront brewery in the village of Devon. After the meeting the owners released a statement. "This is a great night for Milford, Connecticut and the future of the Devon-neighborhood. We want to thank members of Milford's Planning and Zoning Board, Mayor Blake, and the more than 1,500 residents and others who supported our project by signing our petition.

June 14, 2018 - Milford boaters and beer drinkers alike may soon have a new hangout spot on Bridgeport Avenue. Co-owner Bob Chicoine gave News 12 a tour Thursday of what he hopes to turn into the Dockside biergarten and brewery. He says they're in the middle of renovating Dock A. The planned facility will boast 30 tap lines and outdoor seating for 300 guests. A petition in support of the plan already has more than 1,300 signatures. A partner in Jacksonville, Florida's Engine 15 Brewing, Chicoine says the idea started as a way to get some of their beer to Connecticut customers.
